Bio
Vitaly Sword_Art Petkin is one of the most recognizable Dota 2 coaches and analysts in the CIS and currently works for Natus Vincere.
Having started his cybersports career in 2015 as a member of third tier teams and not achieving outstanding success as a player, he moved on to coaching. His first experience in this role was working with Vega Squadron, where he tried to restore the former glory of the club from the times of victory at ESL One New York 2015 together with Mag, G and SoNNeikO. However, the team failed to achieve significant results, and in March 2017 the squad was disbanded. Vitaly found a new team in 2018, becoming the coach of Team Spirit. Under his leadership , fng, Biver, DkPhobos, G and Illidan won bronze at Galaxy Battles II: Emerging Worlds and qualified for ESL One Birmingham 2018 and China Dota2 Supermajor, where the team showed a high level of play. After failing to qualify for The International 2018, the roster and coach left the team.
Next, Sword_Art joined Virtus.pro as an analyst before The International 2019. After winning bronze at EPICENTER Major 2019 and a disappointing performance at the World Championship, where the team finished 9th-12th, Vitaly left VP. In November 2019, he became an analyst at Natus Vincere, where Zayac, Blizzy, MagicaL, Crystallize, and Kingslayer were playing at the time . During the year with his involvement, the team finished 9-12 at DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major and 5-6 at OGA Dota PIT Season 2: EU/CIS. After that NAVI switched to cooperation with FlyToMoon, whose players didn't need Sword_Art 's services anymore.
After the start of the first season of DPC leagues in 2021, Team Spirit invited Vitaly to work with them after an unsuccessful attempt to qualify for ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021. As an analyst and in collaboration with Coach Silent, Sword_Art helped the team qualify for WePlay AniMajor and perform well.
In March 2023, Vitaly became the coach of Natus Vincere. Together with him, the team managed to qualify for DreamLeague Season 23, where team finished in 12th place. Later, NAVI placed in the top 4 at the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational and PGL Wallachia: Season #2, but failed to advance from the group stage at ESL One Bangkok 2024.
On August 14, 2025, he was appointed as the coach of the new NAVI Dota 2 academy.
On September 19, NAVI Junior unveiled its new roster. The roster's main achievement was winning the UESF Ukrainian Championship 2026 Stage 1. In April 2026, the roster was disbanded due to inconsistent results.
