Bio
Wang Ame Chunyu is a Chinese cyber athlete, a kerry player and a bright representative of the "young generation" who went through the school of more experienced mentors. During his 5-year career in Dota 2, he managed to win three high prizes at The International and several Dota 1 tournaments.
Wang started his professional career at the age of 18. As a star of Chinese high-level publishers, he attracted the attention of a large organization and joined the CDEC.Youth roster. Under the guidance of the experienced Inflame, he honed his gaming skills and led the team to the top of the top tier-2: he took 2nd place at the Dota 2 Radiant & Dire Cup 2015 through qualifications and Wild Card, won silver at the ECL 2015 Dota 2 Autumn and was one step away from making it to the MDL 2015 Winter. A further time later, Ame qualified for StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 and Nanyang Dota 2 Championships Season 2, where he placed 7th-8th and 4th respectively.
The LGD Gaming organization saw Van's potential and recruited him to the main roster, opening up the prospect of developing him to the tier-1 level. Ame justified the trust and soon helped the team make it to The Boston Major 2016, where it took 9-16th place. In the summer of 2017, the Chinese team took "bronze" DOTA Summit 7 and "gold" Mars Dota 2 League 2017, but the most important achievement was a slot at The International 2017. In a fierce competition, Ame and teammates reached the 4th place and earned more than $1.7 million.
In the next season Ame and the team played like real beasts: 2nd place at Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018, 3rd place at China Dota2 Supermajor and victories at EPICENTER XL and MDL Changsha Major made the Chinese not only welcome guests of The International 2018, but also the main contenders for victory. And it almost worked out: 2nd place after an incredible fight with OG brought the team more than $4 million. The next season was more modest for PSG.LGD, but at The International 2019 it shone again and won the bronze medal, which once again confirmed Ame's skill in his role.
Wang has been a CDEC Gaming player for the last season and has consistently performed well on the dash-1-2 stage, such as winning the OGA Dota PIT Season 2: China. Despite this, near the end of 2020, Ame moved to PSG.LGD, where he became vice-champion of The International 2021 and won numerous trophies. He retired from cybersport in 2022, but according to many rumors he may return soon.
In 2022, the player decided to take a break from the professional Dota 2 scene. The break ended in December 2023, after a year of inactivity. Ame joined the Chinese team Xtreme Gaming as a first position player
The next year started quite well for Ame : 1st place at Elite League 2024, 3rd at DreamLeague Season 22 and 2nd at PGL Wallachia Season 1.
