The most successful Ukrainian esports organization Natus Vincere has changed its owner. According to Forbes.ua, on July 12, 2022, the ownership was transferred to the Ukrainian Maxim Krippa. According to the interlocutors of the newspaper, the deal to sell NaVi took place back in 2020, but this was not publicly reported.

Krippa is associated with the well-known online casino Vulkan, but the businessman is trying to get rid of associations with this company by «clogging» search traffic on Google.

«Krippa’s team tried to disassociate him from Vulcan Bet. At some point they succeeded. He was issued a diploma of a famous volcanologist from the Institute of Volcanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences,» one of the sources said.

In addition, the Ukrainian businessman also allegedly owns the GGbet bookmaker. This was stated by three unnamed sources working in the field of eSports. Krippa could not be contacted. It is assumed that he now lives in Los Angeles.

The Forbes article claims that Natus Vincere was bought by GGbet. From 2017 to 2020, this bookmaker was the general sponsor of NaVi, in 2021 1xbet took its place, and in 2022 the team continued to be sponsored by GGbet. The top manager of an unnamed esports organization believes that it is no coincidence that NaVi changed sponsors for just one year.

“If you are a long-term sponsor, then why sponsor what you can buy. They specifically sold general sponsorship to someone else in 2020 to pretend that they were not involved with GGBet,” he said.

Recall that the history of Natus Vincere began in 2009 with the Counter Strike team. NaVi assembled the first Dota 2 squad in October 2010. The final roster of the team included XBOCT, Dendi, Puppey, ArtStyle and LighTofHeaveN, who managed to unexpectedly win The International 2011 and write their names in the history of esports.

As CyberScore reported, Natus Vincere failed to win the regional qualifier for TI11 in Eastern Europe and will now play in the Last Chance stage, where the last two tickets to the main Dota 2 tournament will be distributed. The LSQ draw has already taken place.
