Tundra Esports may have a new mid laner: will Nine change his role?

Leon Nine Kirilin has actively started to play in the support position. Maybe, he is doing it just for fun, but it can mean that Tundra Esports is ready to make a reshuffle in the lineup to succeed at The International 12. The thing is that team's support Martin Saksa Sazdov missed a lot of tournaments this season due to mental health problems. 

In the vlogs from Riyadh Masters 2023, Tundra Esports players repeatedly stated that they found out about Saksa's departure at the last moment: it shocked them a lot and affected the result. Sazdov has missed DreamLeague Seasons 19 and 20, Bali Major 2023 and Riyadh Masters 2023 this season.

Nine's training at the support position could mean that Saksa's problems continue and the team will sign a new mid laner for The International 12. The most likely options are Topias Topson Taavitsainen or Amer Miracle Al-Barkawi.

Waiting for the official announcement, the next big tournament for Tundra will be The International 12. The team finished in the top 3 on DPC points and guaranteed themselves a direct invite.

As Cyberscore reported earlier, Saksa left Tundra Esports after the first day of The Riyadh Masters 2023 after the first day of play.
