TI2025 champion replaced DM on Team Yandex

Team Yandex moved Dmitry DM Dorokhin to the bench and signed Ammar ATF Al-Assaf for the offlane position. The changes came several weeks after the conclusion of The International 2026.

Dorokhin started playing for Yandex even before officially joining the club and became a full-time roster member at the end of May 2026. During his time with the team, the offlaner won PGL Wallachia Season 7 and BLAST Slam VII, while also finishing 3rd at Esports World Cup 2026 and TI 2026.

Before joining Team Yandex, ATF represented Team Falcons for almost three years after joining the organization in November 2023. Together with the team, he won numerous major tournaments, with The International 2025 being the biggest of them.

Al-Assaf's final tournament with Falcons was TI15. The reigning world champions finished the tournament in 7th-8th place after losing 1:2 to Team Liquid. In early September, the organization disbanded its roster and left the professional Dota 2 scene.

Over the past year, DM played 213 maps, winning 125 of them with a 58% win rate. His average KDA was 7.06, with 578 GPM and 710 XPM. During the same period, Ammar played 287 maps and won 180 of them, reaching a 62% win rate. His average KDA was 6.81, with 630 GPM and 811 XPM.

Thus, ATF has higher win rate, GPM and XPM numbers, while Dorokhin has a slightly higher average KDA.

Interestingly, rumors about Al-Assaf joining Team Yandex appeared before the end of the transfer period. However, on September 15, the player himself stated that he was not part of the team. Two days later, the club officially announced his signing.

According to rumors, after being moved to the bench, Dorokhin could continue his career with Conventus Stellarum and represent the team at PGL Wallachia Season 9.
