Team Falcons disbands its roster and leaves Dota 2: what's next for the players

Esports organization Team Falcons has decided to leave Dota 2 after reviewing its strategy for the coming years.

The club intends to focus on other esports disciplines that are more aligned with its long-term goals. The announcement was made on the club's official social media accounts.

Although Dota holds a legendary place in competitive gaming, our global focus is shifting toward developing ecosystems that are more closely aligned with our strategy and the organization's long-term operational sustainability.

This is not a step back from our ambitions – it is a deliberate move forward toward our future. As we redirect our energy toward new horizons, we take every victory and every lesson with us. Thank you to all the players, the coach, the staff, and all the fans who supported us throughout these years.

It is worth noting that the team's coach, Curtis Aui_2000 Ling, announced his retirement several weeks ago.

Team Falcons opened its Dota 2 division in November 2023. The roster formed at the time competed for almost three years without any changes.

During that period, the team won several major tournaments, including BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22, and ESL One Birmingham 2024. The roster's greatest achievement was its victory at The International 2025, where the team defeated Xtreme Gaming 3:2 in the grand final and claimed the Aegis of Champions.

Over the lifetime of the division, Team Falcons earned around $7,300,000 in prize money. The team's final tournament was The International 2026, where the roster finished in 7th–8th place and failed to defend its championship title.

Following the conclusion of the tournament, more rumors began circulating in the community about the players' futures. Stanislav Malr1ne Potorak has been linked with a possible move to Team Yandex, BetBoom Team, or Team Liquid. The midlaner, however, stated that he would continue playing alongside Ammar ATF Assaf.

He later revealed that carry Oliver skiter Lepko would also play alongside them on their next team, but did not name the other members of the future roster.

Earlier, Cyberscore reported that GamerLegion's carry left the team after TI15.
