SunBhie: “If your team has lower Quartero's levels, you will likely lose that game"
The coach of the South American team Edge, Lee SunBhie Jeong-jae, expressed his opinion on the current state of ranked matchmaking in Dota 2 on his personal X page.
"The new patch has given me a better perspective on why quality of MM fluctuates so much. In general, if your team has lower Quartero's levels, you will likely lose that game. It's been nearly 3wks since the patch, being patched up with players with lvl5-6 quartero is GG"
SunBhie noted that one of the main problems with the low quality of games in matchmaking is the lack of MMR penalties for inactivity, as well as other factors: ruiners, smurfs, boosters/bought accounts.
As a reminder, on August 20, Valve released a compendium for The International 2025. Along with the update, the developers announced that they had blocked more than 75,000 accounts suspected of smurfing, rating manipulation, and other dishonest activities.
As CyberScore reported earlier, Nix will be covering The International 2025.
