REKONIX qualify for ESL One Birmingham 2026
The Southeast Asia qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham 2026 have come to an end, with REKONIX defeating Execration 3:1 in the grand final to secure a slot at the tournament.
Almost every map was played under the control of the Indonesian squad, with their cores finishing games with just one or two deaths.
It is also worth noting that REKONIX qualified for BLAST Slam VI after beating Execration in the lower bracket of the qualifiers. Between qualification events, the team also placed second at the Indian LAN tournament Asia Pacific Predator League 2026, earning $20,000 in prize money.
Previously, the team had never competed in tier-1 tournaments, making the start of the year quite successful for them.
Execration, in turn, managed to qualify for DreamLeague Season 28, but failed to secure spots at other tournaments.

The closed qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham 2026 will take place from 16.01.2026 to 20.01.2026, except for the Chinese region, which will play from 30.01.2026 to 01.02.2026. The main event will be held from 22.03.2026 to 29.03.2026, where 16 teams will compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000 and 35,460 EPT points.
