“We became 500% better mentally. The team is on a completely different level” — PARIVISION coach on the new psychologist

The esports organization PARIVISION has hired a psychologist to work with its Dota 2 roster. This was announced by the team’s coach, Filipe Astini Astini, who noted rapid progress within the squad after the specialist started working with them.

We finally have a psychologist. We were waiting for him. After five days of working with him, we became 500% better mentally. The team is on a completely different level.

Astini also emphasized that the team faces heavy pressure during tournament preparation, and the mental aspect directly affects their consistency.

Yes, this is just the beginning, and at first everything always seems better. But even now we can feel that there are fewer mental drops, we are more stable psychologically, and we solve in-game problems much faster. I believe we have a very good future. The issues we had at the previous tournament are now almost completely resolved.

Recently, the team’s carry Alan Satanic Gallyamov also pointed out issues with the squad’s mental state during difficult matches:

We have this internal dynamic where if our mentality is bad, we play badly and everything falls apart. But if we stay positive and everything is going well, we play very well. I think the main problem is the mentality.

It is worth recalling that at the previous championship, FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, PARIVISION finished 9–11th, failing to reach the playoff stage. The team’s next tournament will be PGL Wallachia Season 6, which starts tomorrow, where their first opponent will be OG Esports.
