All participants of ESL One Malaysia 2022 have been determined

TSM FTX defeated Quincy Crew in the ESL One Malaysia regional qualifier grand final to become the last participant of the $400K tournament. The match between two teams from North America ended with a score of 3:2.

Entity Gaming (Europe), Team Aster (China), BOOM and Talon Esports (Southeast Asia) and Thunder Awaken (South America) also booked a place at ESL One Malaysia through qualifiers. Six more teams got to the tournament, having received a direct invitation: OG, Alliance, Team Liquid, Team Secret and Nigma Galaxy from Western Europe, as well as Fnatic from Southeast Asia.

The group stage will take place from 23 to 25 August, and the playoffs – from 26 to 28 August. Four best teams from each group (two in total) will take part in the elimination matches. The Grand Final will be held in the best-of-5 format, and all other matches will be played in the best-of-3 format.

As CyberScore reported, there was a scandal during ESL One Malaysia qualifiers in South America. Infamous gave up in the match against beastcoast, leaving the game in the 14th minute of the map. The management of the losing team said goodbye to one of the players after the incident.
