Old G fails to qualify for the second division of DPC 2022/23

Old G, with two-time champions of The International n0tail, Ceb and Topson, failed to reach the second division of the Dota Pro Circuit 2022/23. The European team advanced confidently through the upper bracket but lost 0-2 to Ooredoo Thunders in the final. Having fallen to the bottom of the playoffs, they were easily beaten by Monaspa.

Thus, Ooredoo Thunders and Monaspa will start the new 2022/23 DPC season in the second division. Closed qualifiers for teams from Western Europe was held from 19 to 22 December.

Recall that the first season of Dota Pro Circuit 2022/23 in the first division starts on January 8 and will last until January 29. After that, the participants of the second echelon will compete for two places in the elite: from January 31 to February 21.

As CyberScore reported, the organizers of the closed qualifier for DPC 2022/23 in North America violated the rules of the tournament to help Arkosh Gaming.
