DPC 2022/23 NA organizers ignored the rules of the tournament to help Arkosh Gaming

Tournaments

PGL, which is responsible for hosting Dota Pro Circuit 2022/23 in North America, violated the rules of the tournament during the match between Arkosh Gaming and Team Magnus. This helped Arkosh turn the tide of the battle and advance to the second round of the lower bracket with a 2:1 win.

At the 8th minute of the second map Zachary ‘ZfreeK‘ Friedman left the game unexpectedly due to problems with Steam. According to the regulations, he had 10 minutes to reconnect to the server, but after this time he failed to return to the match. Despite the protests of Magnus representatives, after a 10-minute pause, the battle did not continue, the teams had to wait as much as 30 minutes.

The players of the affected team tried to prove their case, but they were ignored by the organizers, and Yun Min ‘Febby‘ Kim from Arkosh decided to make fun of his opponents, advising them to become «just as successful and famous» as his team.

Recall that Arkosh is represented by popular streamers and esportsmen: Qojqva, Xcalibur, monkeys-forever, ZfreeK and Febby.

After ZfreeK returned to the game, Arkosh managed to level the score first, and then win the decisive third map. In the next round, they will face monopoly.

As CyberScore reported, Valve suspended 10 professional Dota 2 players for life from participating in tournaments. In particular, the new carry of Virtus.pro became a victim of the ban.
