Nix - "People go to play LoL because Dota 2 is so much harder"

Contentmaker Aleksandr Nix Levin reflected on his Twitch stream about why people favor playing League of Legends over Dota 2. He compared the mechanics of both games. In his opinion, one of the reasons lies in the lightness of the first mentioned MOBA game.

Alexander noted the simplicity of LoL's game mechanics. His point of view lies in the fact that Dota 2 is much more hard, and this can be attributed to the majority choice.

"Why do people go to play LoL and not Dota 2? Because Dota is much more hard. In LoL there are no active items, denies, buybacks, glyphs - there just aren't. You just learn four buttons and press them. Also, the map is half the size."

Also, Nix stated that fast content reigns supreme at the moment. This explains why people simply don't want to bother spending time in a game.

"We live in an age where short videos and reels are the most popular things. It's all for a reason. Nobody wants to play hard games now. StarCraft is the greatest cybersport game ever, but it just died. No one's coming to play it because it's complicated."
