Meta report: how heroes changed compared to the previous patch

Since the release of patch 7.39d, only a few days have passed, but that was enough for the meta to change significantly. Most of the previous patch's top heroes have lost their positions, making way for new ones with improved performance.

Among carry heroes, only Ursa has confidently held his spot, boasting a 60.6% win rate over 393 games. The new top 5 also includes Luna (54.0%), Anti-Mage (52.2%), Faceless Void (51.4%), and Nature’s Prophet (51.2%). Previously popular heroes like Chaos Knight and Wraith King have dropped out of the meta.

In the midlane, Leshrac (56.3%) remains a clear leader. The current list also includes Outworld Destroyer (55.1%), Queen of Pain (50.6%), Tinker (51.6%), and Earth Spirit (51.2%), pushing Huskar out of the former top 5.

In the offlane, Dawnbreaker leads with 707 matches and a 52.5% win rate. The meta also saw the rise of Timbersaw (56.9%), Vengeful Spirit (58.0%), and Slardar (53.4%). Legion Commander (51.3%) remains a consistent pick, while former top picks like Axe and Beastmaster have faded into the background.

On the position four role, Silencer dominates with an impressive 58.5% win rate. He is followed by Rubick (51.8%), Bounty Hunter (54.0%), Lion (52.7%), and Windranger (51.8%), forming a refreshed top 5 of the patch’s most effective roamers.

Among hard supports, Witch Doctor takes the lead with a 59.6% win rate in 183 games. He is followed by Silencer (52.7%), Crystal Maiden (54.6%), Lion (52.5%), and Disruptor (50.6%). All these heroes perform reliably at any stage of the game.
