Maelstrom shared his prediction for ESL One Birmingham 2024

Analyst Vladimir Maelstorm Kuzminov shared his opinion on the upcoming ESL One Birmingham 2024 in an interview for Metaratings.ru.

The commentator stated that since the start of the new DPC season in Dota 2, there is no development in the races on the professional scene, and everyone's usual teams remain in the tops. 

"I consider ESL One Birmingham 2024 as a "small brick" in the general state of affairs. Imagine that Team Spirit will win the tournament, Team Falcons will take the third place, and Chinese teams will stay in the top 6. We'd get exactly the same picture we had at the beginning of the season."

According to Maelstorm, ESL One Birmingham 2024 could clear the air and start new trends in the tier-1 scene.

"Although, ESL One Birmingham 2024 may bring the first considerations. If Team Spirit fail again, Team Falcons again do not win the tournament, while someone from China will celebrate triumph - that's when we can think about some trends. But even then it would be silly to talk about the dominance of chinese teams, as well as about the fact that Team Falcons won't win again."

To all, Vladimir spoke about the situation in CIS teams, noting Team Spirit and BetBoom Team, ahead of ESL One Birmingham 2024.

"I understand that Team Spirit has really big problems. The team doesn't know what to do with them. Maybe the LAN tournament will give them a boost. I think that if it performs poorly again, there might be personnel changes. BetBoom Team didn't do that bad, but it's like she was expected to do better at Elite League."

ESL One Birmingham 2024 will take place from April 22-28. 12 teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool and share EPT points.
