K1 after M80's elimination from FISSURE Universe: Ep. 4: "I just want to play Dota and win a tournament"
Peruvian esports player Hector K1 Rodriguez shared his thoughts on returning to the professional Dota 2 scene after a period of inactivity. In an interview on FISSURE Universe: Ep. 4, M80's carry discussed how he spent his break and why he decided to compete in tournaments again.
After The International 2024, Rodriguez decided to take a break from his career. According to him, it was a difficult but necessary decision.
To be honest, it was a tough decision. I still wanted to play Dota, but I really needed a break. And the rest did me good. That’s how it is

Additionally, the player noted that during his time away from competition, he focused on his personal life and relaxation.
I spent this time with my girlfriend. To be honest, I was just doing different things, doing whatever I wanted: going to the beach and watching movies
Despite the break, Rodriguez’s desire to play competitive Dota 2 did not fade. According to him, he is ready to play again and compete at a professional level.
Now I’m fine, I want to play Dota, to keep competing over and over again. I already have a lot of money, I just want to play Dota and win a tournament. It’s my passion
At FISSURE Universe: Ep. 4, M80 finished their group stage run, losing three matches in a row. The South American team took 16th place.
