BetBoom Team midlaner Danil gpk Skutin talked about the team changes after The International 2025, the signing of a new coach, and the team’s aggressive playstyle.

At the end of September, BetBoom Team introduced the new coach Roman rmN Paley and new carry Ilya Kiritych Ulyanov, who replaced Ivan Pure Moskalenko, who had been showing weak results recently.

First of all, gpk noted the departure of the previous coach Anatoly boolk Ivanov and his contribution to the team:

With Tolyan [boolk] we achieved good results and won tournaments, we could have continued working, but we decided to take the team in a different direction. We brought in a new player and coach, and we will build everything differently. We decided to take a different path. We could have kept him, but as a team we decided to try something new. Let’s see where it will lead us.

Regarding coach rmN, Skutin noted that he brings fresh ideas for heroes and strategies, as he also plays ranked games and has practical experience, which is a big advantage for a coach.

About the signing of the new carry, Gpk said that the team initially tried the young player Andrey bottega Kopytko, but in the end, they decided on Kiritych.

With Ilyuha [Kiritych] we already played and know what he brings. We scrimmed with bottega, he plays very well and does a lot, but right now we decided to work with Ilyuha. bottega also has potential and a future, maybe he just needs more time. We simply chose a more experienced player to deliver results here and now.

The player also commented on the team’s aggressive playstyle and frequent reckless actions, often made in the heat of the moment, sometimes forgetting about teamwork:

Probably, we feel strong confidence, dopamine rises, and we go wherever we want, although we need to play with a clear head and finish games calmly. A good example is Falcons. I consider them a strong team because they use all the strengths of their midlaner Malr1ne very well and let him shine. And on the side lanes, they have very strong players who rarely lose their lane.

At the main championship of the year, The International 2025, BetBoom Team took 4th place, losing to Xtreme Gaming in the lower bracket semifinals. The team’s results in the first tournaments of the new season were unstable: they took 2nd place at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, losing to Team Falcons in the grand final, but at BLAST SLAM IV, the team finished 7th–8th, failing to make it to the playoffs.
