G2.iG will participate in the Игры Будущего (Games of the Future) in Russia

Tournaments

Chinese team G2.iG will come to Kazan for the Игры Будущего (Games of the Future) tournament organized by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation. This tournament is held in the Russian Federation and is not a key tournament in the Dota 2 world, and the organizations represented at the tournament will be condemned by the community for contributing to Russia's unprovoked war against Ukraine.

G2.iG is the second Chinese team to attend the tournament. The first was LGD Gaming, which announced its participation on December 21. A total of 16 teams are announced for the competition, and the tournament itself will be held from February 19 to February 25. The date of the tournament finals coincides with the start of DreamLeague Season 22. The prize pool will amount to 1 million dollars.

Игры Будущего (Games of the Future)  is a multi-sport Russian tournament that has been held under the auspices of the local Ministry of Sports since September 2021. A host of international organizations are boycotting the event, as some of the proceeds from the event could go to sponsor the war in Ukraine.
