The Fnatic esports club disbanded the roster and temporarily left the professional Dota 2 scene. Information about this appeared on the official website of the organization. The management of the South East Asian team promised to help all players and staff with finding a new job and thanked all those who helped Fnatic achieve success.

«Recently we have been forced to reflect on the sustainability and future of the title for Fnatic, and ultimately, to make a difficult but necessary decision to temporarily withdraw from the DOTA 2 pro circuit. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the players, staff, and members who have been a part of this incredible journey, alongside our incredible fanbase who have made our journey in the SEA region so special,» the statement reads.

Recall that Fnatic appeared on the professional Dota scene in 2011. Despite the fact that this tag did not manage to achieve victories at the highest level, the team was one of the strongest in the region throughout its existence. The total amount of prize money earned by Fnatic is about $5.5 million.

Recently, the team has faced serious performance problems. Having taken 13th-16th place at The International 2022, Fnatic updated their roster and were eliminated from the first division of DPC 2023 in Southeast Asia following the results of the winter tour. The team lost all matches in the tournament.

Former Fnatic roster is as follows:

  • Kim ‘Gabbi‘ Villafuerte;
  • Armel ‘Armel‘ Tabios;
  • Damien ‘kpii‘ Chok;
  • Djardel ‘DJ‘ Mampusti;
  • Jaunuel ‘Jaunuel‘ Arcilla.

As CyberScore reported, the 18-year-old Thunder Awaken mid player, Alone, started looking for a new team.
