Esports World Cup 2026: New Venue Officially Announced
Esports World Cup 2026 will take place in Paris on the previously announced dates: from 06.07.2026 to 23.08.2026. The announcement was posted on the tournament organizers’ X page.
French President Emmanuel Macron commented on the news:
“This is a first that honors us. Thank you to Saudi Arabia for its trust. We are ready to organize this 2026 e-sports World Cup. Very proud to welcome the world again.”

Initially, the venue for the championship was the Boulevard City multifunctional complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Representatives of the EWC had previously denied rumors of a location change. Team Falcons content creator Abu Najd, in particular, reported that the Esports World Cup 2026 would take place in France.
Following the announcement of the new location, additional details about the expected layout of the championship venue at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center also surfaced online. According to the published information, the area will be divided into several large sections with four main stages for simultaneously hosting multiple disciplines.
The venue is also expected to include practice rooms for players, team lounges, spaces for content creators and tournament partners, as well as dedicated areas for spectators, stores, and restaurants.

The esports community notes that not all participants will likely be able to reach the new venue due to visa issues. This problem has frequently arisen at tournaments in the PGL Wallachia series, which take place in Romania.
The total prize pool for the Esports World Cup 2026 will be $75,000,000, and at the Dota 2 championship within the event, 24 teams will compete for $2,000,000.
As CyberScore previously reported, some of the teams that will receive a direct invitation to the EWC 2026 are already known.
