ESL One Stockholm Dota Major 2022 will be held in an updated format – without the Wild Card stage and invites. Usually, teams, which won the first division in their regions, received direct tickets to the playoffs.

According to the information published on the official website of the organizers of the Major, 18 teams will be divided into two groups (9 participants each), where they will play each other in the best-of-2 system. The top four teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the fifth and sixth places will fall into the lower bracket.

It has to be noted that teams will compete for a prize pool of $500,000 and 3,530 DPC points at ESL One Stockholm Dota Major 2022. The tournament will be held from 12 to 22 May. For the first time since 2020, fans will be able to attend such an event. The doors of Hovet Arena will be open to spectators from May 20 to 22.
