ESL announced a LAN tournament in America

The tournament operator ESL has announced a new LAN tournament ESL One Raleigh 2025 with a prize pool of one million dollars. Despite earlier promises to host one of the championships in Europe, this event will take place in the USA.

The championship will be held at Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, from April 7 to April 13. The final part of the tournament will take place in the arena from April 11 to April 13. 12 top teams from the ESL Pro Tour rankings will compete for 27,920 EPT points.

Tournament format:

Group stage:

• two groups of six teams in a Round-robin format;
• all matches are BO2;
• teams ranked 5th-6th in their groups are eliminated.

Playoffs:

• Double-elimination bracket;
• four teams start in the upper bracket, the rest in the lower bracket;
• all matches are played in BO3, with the grand final in BO5.
