Patch 7.38, released during the night of February 19, brought massive changes to Dota 2: the map, neutral creeps, new objects and a new resource, as well as reworked heroes and items. However, with the update’s release, bugs related to several heroes and items were discovered, forcing the organizers of DreamLeague Season 25 to introduce a number of restrictions.

Professional Dota 2 player Nikita Daxak Kuzmin shared the information on his Telegram channel. According to him, teams can no longer include the heroes Anti-Mage and Dazzle in their drafts due to related bugs. In addition, items such as Revenant’s Brooch and Lotus Orb have been banned.

Paragon Events, the studio responsible for the tournament’s broadcasts, clarified that Anti-Mage, Revenant’s Brooch, Lotus Orb, and the new Pyrrhic Cloak are completely banned. The only exception is the hero Dazzle, who is allowed provided that his ultimate ability Nothl Projection is not used to enhance Rubick’s spells or to abuse item charges and cooldowns.

Furthermore, the tournament prohibits the use of Ninja Gear to extend the effect of Smoke of Deceit on allied heroes.

The 7.38 patch update has already affected the game’s balance, leading to these restrictions in order to eliminate bugs and ensure fair gameplay.

DreamLeague Season 25 will take place online from February 16 to March 2, with 16 teams competing for a prize pool of $1,000,000.

Cyberscore previously shared the changes brought by the new patch 7.38.
