Dota 2 turned 11 years old
Today marks exactly 11 years since the official release of Dota 2 on Steam. During this time, the game has formed a huge community, as well as broken many cybersports and other records.

Recall that Valve first showed Dota 2 at Gamescom in 2011, where the first tournament of The International series was held. The game was in beta testing for about two years, and on September 9, 2015 it was moved to the Source 2 engine.
In addition, a major update is expected to be released today, which will likely make Act 3 of the Fallen Crown event and new cosmetic items available. Perhaps the developers have timed the release of the update to Dota 2 Birthday for a reason and players are in for a surprise.
As CyberScore reported earlier, Valve has announced a short film contest, entries will be accepted until August 18.
