“Coming Soon” — new details about the Dark Carnival event have been revealed
Team Spirit analyst Denis sikle Lerman commented on the recent update of the Dota 2 Staging Server by 18 versions, which is a sign that preparations are underway for the release of a major event. As previously reported, the event will be called Dark Carnival. According to sikle, the update will be released in the coming days.
Lerman’s conclusions are supported by content creator Dmitry finargot Plusnin, who stated that the probability of Dark Carnival being released by the end of the week is over 95%.
Additionally, the “Sense of Foreboding” effect, which Valve mentioned in the patch notes for 7.41d, can now be seen in-game. When picking Axe and there is Ringmaster on the opposing team, the “Sense of Foreboding” effect may appear on the character with a 30% chance.
As a reminder, Axe appeared in Ringmaster’s release trailer, where he fell into his trap. These heroes will likely play key roles in the upcoming event, much like Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage did in CrownFall.
Valve often adds references similar to the “Sense of Foreboding” buff to the game a few days before a major update, as was the case, for example, before the release of Largo, Monkey King, Phoenix, and Invoker.
