Largo has voicelines for an unreleased hero — a data miner shared his findings after the release of patch 7.40
The author of the Telegram channel dotastepana has published the most interesting materials found in the game data after the release of patch 7.40. In particular, the new character Largo has been found to have voicelines for a hero that has not yet been released. In addition, it is known that Valve will continue to update “Quartero's Curios” and is still working on a new event with a separate game mode.

Largo's phrase when meeting the hero as an ally:
“Ha ha, keen is! Who's that little cousin in the bucket?”
Largo's line when killing the hero:
”Hell nah, why don't you go visit theirs for a bit?"
Recall that even before Largo's release, a reference to a new hero named Arjun was found in Dota 2, and a separate character ID appeared on the experimental server. It was assumed that the heroes could be added to the game together, like Pangolier and Dark Willow.
Valve has also prepared “placeholders” for the next seasons of “Quartero's Curios” for the entire year 2026. The event will likely now be updated regularly along with the seasonal Dota Plus update, as was the case on December 11.

Another interesting find is new code related to the upcoming mode, which currently has the working title “Bot Challenge.”

The presumed name of the upcoming event, found by data miners, is Dark Carnival. It is similar to the name of the Dark Moon event, which took place in Dota 2 from January 26 to February 6, 2017, and was timed to coincide with the Chinese (Lunar) New Year. Perhaps the new mode will be released on these dates.

In a news post on the game's official website, which was published along with the release of patch 7.40, the developers wished players happy holidays and said goodbye until next year. Based on this message, no updates are expected in Dota 2 this year.
As CyberScore reported earlier, the average online in Dota 2 increased to a record high for the last 6 years.
