“I'm just trying to find the motivation to play”, — Collapse expressed his willingness to take a break

Team Spirit offlaner Magomed Collapse Khalilov stated during a podcast with Austin Cap Walsh, Quinn Quinn Callahan, and Aydin Insania Sarkohi that he wants to take a break from competing on the professional scene. He noted, however, that he does not want to end his career, but that he needs this break.

I’m just trying to find the motivation to play. I need a little time — I think about 5–6 months — to get that hunger for Dota back. Right now, I feel like I’ve achieved more than I ever could have expected.

I just need a break. I don’t want to end my career because I’m only 24. I’m still young.

Magomed joined Team Spirit in December 2020. As a member of the “Dragons”, he became a three-time The International champion and won six more Tier 1 tournaments, including the Riyadh Masters 2023 and the Esports World Cup 2025.

As a reminder, Collapse has already taken two breaks from his career. After The International 2024 with Spirit, he was replaced by Abdimalik Malik Saylau. In early 2026, Bogdan BBODDY Batyuk stepped in for Khalilov in several tournaments.

Earlier, Team Spirit manager Dmitry Korb3n Belov explained that players sometimes need to take a break; otherwise, they will burn out, and their performance will deteriorate significantly. For this reason, the organization does not force players to continue competing against their will. It is not yet officially known who will replace Magomed in upcoming tournaments.

As CyberScore previously reported, Team Falcons disbanded their roster and withdrew from Dota 2.
