Team Liquid has released a documentary about their squad's semi-support, Samuel Boxi Swahn. There he talked about the beginning of his esports career, the hardest time when he learned of his mother's illness and why he urgently left The Lima Major 2023 before the final day of play.

Boxi admitted that he encountered serious health problems during The Lima Major 2023. According to the esportsman, he immediately realized that he needed to consult a doctor.

"I started having gastrointestinal bleeding, like there was a wound there that was bleeding a lot and I couldn't eat. This was a serious signal to me that I needed to start taking care of my health and see a doctor for the necessary medical attention. I needed to stop putting it off to be able to continue competing.

When I got sick during the Lima Major, I realized that this could be the last year of my career if I didn't get better. It's not easy to do and I'm not sure how well I'm doing. I'm just waiting for the work I've done to start paying off."

Team Liquid will begin their journey at The International 12 as early as October 12. The team comes in as one of the tournament favorites, having made it to the grand finals at all Majors this season.

As Cyberscore previously reported, Maroun GH Merhej replaced Boxi in one of the Dota Pro Circuit matches this season.
