BLAST Slam VI: organizers unveil new tournament format
Tournament operator BLAST announced the transition from the usual BO3 format to BO5 in all playoff series of BLAST Slam VI.
The group stage will take place from 03.02.2026 to 05.02.2026. 12 teams will compete in a Round Robin system in BO1 matches. The top two teams will directly advance to the playoff semifinals.
Teams placing third to eighth will continue in the Play-in stage to compete for playoff slots. Teams finishing ninth to twelfth will enter Last Chance, where they will play two series for a spot in the tournament’s final stage.

Currently, five participants of the tournament are known. Team Falcons, Tundra Esports, Team Yandex and MOUZ received invitations for finishing in the top 4 of previous series events, while Heroic secured a slot as the home region team. Three more teams will receive direct invites and the remaining participants will be determined through regional qualifiers.
The champion of the previous tournament, BLAST Slam V, was Tundra Esports. In the grand final, the team defeated Team Yandex with a score of 3:0. Notably, Tundra participated in every BLAST series final and hold a four-tournament championship streak.
BLAST SLAM VI will take place from 03.02.2026 to 15.02.2026 in Malta. 12 teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool.
