PlayTime was eliminated from the BLAST Slam IX Qualifiers: Open Qualifier Results

The open qualifiers for BLAST Slam IX in Southeast Asia and Europe have come to an end. As a result, eight teams have earned a spot in the closed qualifiers for the championship.

Results of the first and second open qualifiers for Europe

In the European region, GamerLegion, KlimSani4, Dawn Bulls, and Zero Tenacity earned slots in the closed qualifiers.

GamerLegion and KlimSani4 advanced through the first qualifiers, but the seeding match between the teams did not take place. As a reminder, there have been changes to the GamerLegion roster: Enzo Timado Gianoli O’Connor took over the first position on the roster.

In the second round of qualifiers, the strongest teams were Dawn Bulls and Zero Tenacity. It’s worth noting that one of the main favorites for the open qualifiers was PlayTime, which was joined before the competition by Daniel Stormstormer Shoetzau, Gustavo fcr Ribeiro, and former players from LGD Gaming, but the team failed to advance through both stages of the qualifiers.

Results of the first and second open qualifiers for Southeast Asia

In Southeast Asia, YACHE123, Team Bored, Yangon Galacticos, and InterActive Philippines advanced to the closed qualifiers.

YACHE123 and Team Bored secured their spots in the closed qualifiers during the first round of the open qualifiers. While YACHE123 features relatively unknown players from the region, Team Bored is composed of Filipinos Mc Nicholson Mac Villanueva, Marc Raven Fausto and Timothy TIMS Randrup, who previously represented well-known teams, including PlayTime and OG.

From the second Southeast Asia Open Qualifiers, InterActive Philippines — featuring two former Team Nemesis players: Philip Joshua Karma丶 Torres and James Erice Guerra, as well as the Yangon Galacticos team with a revamped roster of players from Myanmar advanced to the next round.

BLAST Slam IX will take place from 20.11.2026 to 29.11.2026, with 10 teams competing for a prize pool of $1,000,000.
