PlayTime registered for the BLAST Slam IX qualifier: roster includes two former LGD Gaming players

PlayTime registered an updated roster for the open qualifier for BLAST Slam IX, featuring Yuma Yuma Langlet and Matheus KJ Santos Jungles Diniz, who previously played for LGD Gaming.

Daniel Stormstormer Schoetzau, Gustavo fcr Ribeiro, and Yelsthin Elmisho Verde were also included in the registration. However, PlayTime has yet to officially unveil its new roster, so it remains unknown whether Maximo Wits Orozco is still with the organization.

The roster changes began after Esports World Cup 2026. During the tournament, the Esports Integrity Commission temporarily suspended Gonzalo DarkMago Herrera and coach Juan Vintage Angulo while investigating potential breaches of the related to match-fixing. PlayTime was subsequently removed from the tournament.

Later, DarkMago and Frank Frank Arias left the team, while Elvis Scofield De la Cruz Peña took a career break. As a result, Elmisho became the only member of that roster included in the new registration.

Yuma and KJ represented HEROIC for most of the first half of the season. In early May, the players left the organization and continued competing under the ex-Heroic tag, before the South American roster was signed by LGD Gaming on May 26.

With their new organization, they qualified for The International 2026. At the tournament, Topias Topson Taavitsainen played for the team instead of Santiago TaiLung Olivos, who was banned for match-fixing.

After TI15, the Chinese organization decided not to renew its agreements with the players. Their contracts expired on August 24, after which Yuma and KJ became free agents and have now appeared in the PlayTime registration.

The European open qualifier for BLAST Slam IX will take place on 09.09.2026 and 10.09.2026. The closed qualifier will be held from 12.09.2026 to 13.09.2026, with the top two teams earning spots at the main tournament.

The tournament itself is scheduled to take place from 20.11.2026 to 29.11.2026, featuring 10 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool.
