Skiter Replaces Nightfall: Aurora Made Roster Changes Ahead of PGL Wallachia Season 9

Shortly before PGL Wallachia Season 9, Aurora Gaming moved Egor Nightfall Grigorenko to the bench and also announced a replacement for midlaner Rafli Fathur Mikoto Rahman, who will miss the upcoming tournament for personal reasons.

Igor Stojkov Stojkov will play in the second position instead of Mikoto, while Oliver skiter Lepko, who previously represented Team Falcons, will take Nightfall's place in the carry position.

Nightfall joined the club in February 2025, when the organization announced its updated Dota 2 roster. During his time with the club, the carry became champion of FISSURE Universe: Episode 8 and DreamLeague Division 2 Season 3. In 2026, the team also came close to winning three more titles, finishing in 2nd place at DreamLeague Season 28, PGL Wallachia Season 8 and DreamLeague Season 29.

His final tournament as part of Aurora Gaming's main roster was The International 2026. The team finished the biggest tournament of the year in 9th-13th place, ending its run earlier than expected after a series of strong results throughout the season.

Over the past year, Nightfall played 318 maps on the professional scene, recording 197 wins and 121 losses. His win rate was 61%, his average KDA was 10.18, GPM reached 711, while his XPM stood at 832. During this period, he most often played Windranger (47 maps), Ursa (46 maps), and played 25 matches each on Abaddon and Tiny.

It has not yet been officially announced where Grigorenko will continue his career. According to rumors, the carry could join the new BC.Game roster alongside Artem Lorenof Melnyk.

skiter represented Team Falcons from late 2023. During his time with the team, the carry won several major tournaments, with his biggest achievement being the victory at The International 2025.

For the Slovak player, it was already his second title at Dota 2's biggest tournament: he previously won The International 2022 with Tundra Esports. His final tournament with Falcons was The International 2026, after which the organization disbanded its Dota 2 roster.

Over the past 12 months, Lepko played 287 maps on the professional scene and won 177 of them, giving him a 61% win rate. His average stats were 7.88 KDA, 679 GPM and 818 XPM. Among his heroes, skiter most often picked Tiny (27 maps), Ursa (23 maps) and Sven (21 maps), while he played 20 matches each on Abaddon and Gyrocopter.

As for Mikoto's replacement, Stojkov enters PGL Wallachia S9 on a 10-map losing streak on the professional scene. The midlaner's most recent official matches came in July at Esports World Cup 2026 as part of IC x Insanity, where the team lost all ten maps and was among the first to be eliminated from the tournament.

At the same time, Stojkov already has experience playing for more established teams. In 2025, he represented Zero Tenacity and later joined OG on a trial basis in the fall. He won CIS Battle 2 with the team and then officially joined the roster, but the organization disbanded the lineup at the end of October.

Over the past year, he played 248 maps, recording 122 wins and 126 losses. His win rate is 49%, with an average KDA of 7.42, GPM of 583 and XPM of 743. His most-played heroes during this period were Storm Spirit, Queen of Pain, Puck, Invoker and Ember Spirit.

As a result, Aurora Gaming will enter the first tournament of the new season with at least two roster changes compared to The International 2026. However, the team's final roster for the tournament has yet to be announced.

PGL Wallachia Season 9 will take place from 19.09.2026 to 27.09.2026 in Bucharest. 16 teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool. The full list of participants is available in our tournament coverage.
