Team Falcons coach spoke on thrash talk and Nix

Team Falcons coach Kurtis Aui_2000 Ling shared his thoughts on trash talk in the professional scene, specifically regarding his team's behavior. The Canadian also addressed the sensational issue with famous Russian streamer Aleksandr Nix Levin and his harsh comments towards members of Team Falcons. The post was published in Kurtis personal account on Medium.

The main idea Kurtis conveys is the unacceptability of uncontrolled psychological pressure on opponents. However, he also acknowledges the effectiveness of such tactics.

Regarding all chat and trash talk. I don't like all chat. I don't like bm tips and voiceline spam. I have to acknowledge that there's a competitive benefit to it, since tipping, voicelining, and all chatting can affect your opponent’s mentality, in addition to providing entertainment for some of the audience. There's also an aspect of comfort and enjoyment for the players

Additionally, Aui_2000 mentioned that recently in the professional Dota 2 scene, provocative behavior has reached new levels. He is certain about one thing, however: slurs of any kind being unacceptable, as well as post-win uninstigated trash talk. Nonetheless, Kurtis noted that each team member has their own views and is fully entitled to learn from their mistakes.

However, there has been an escalation of acceptable bm/mental warfare over the years. Which brings me to my team and our all chat spam. We have had multiple talks about where the line should be for bm in the competitive scene. The current consensus for us is that if it increases our chance to win then it's fair game (within reason)

In his statement, the Canadian also mentioned a recent incident at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, where the team's midlaner Stanislav Malr1ne Potorak declined an interview with Nix. Rumors went around the community that the Falcons organization forbade the team to communicate with Nix. However, it turned out that the coach himself had asked the players to avoid media interactions with the Russian streamer.

I saw some articles saying that the Falcons org asked the team not to talk to Nix. This is not true. I asked my players not to do any media involving Nix. However, to me, Nix crossed the line when he used racial stereotypes to attack Ammar. I don't want to be a team where we support people who attack our teammates in such a way

In conclusion, Aui_2000 emphasized that he does not ask anyone to like or support Team Falcons. However, he is always open to discussing the topic of trash talk and bringing greater attention to it.

Earlier, CyberScore.live reported that Team Falcons became the champion of BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024.
