Rumor: Xtreme Gaming players may end their careers

According to the Telegram channel "Chinese Muesli", several Xtreme Gaming players are considering taking a break or retiring from professional Dota 2. These include Wang Ame Chunyu, Guo Xm Huncheng, and Lin Xxs Jing.

It is believed that the decision is linked to accumulated fatigue, constant pressure, and the loss in the grand final of The International 2025, where the Chinese team fell to Team Falcons 2-3. For Ame, this was the third time he finished second at the biggest tournament of the year.

It is worth noting that Chunyu already took a break in 2023: he skipped the entire season while inactive with LGD Gaming before joining Xtreme Gaming.

Xtreme Gaming roster:
  • WangAmeChunyu
  • GoXmHongcheng
  • LinXxsJing
  • ZhaoXinQZixing
  • Jian WeixNovaYap

Analyst Khaled sQreen El-Habbash commented on the situation. In his opinion, such decisions are hasty: although XG failed to claim the championship, finishing second at TI is still a huge achievement. He also warned that if the region’s veteran players retire simultaneously, the Chinese Dota 2 scene may face a serious shortage of talent.

Earlier, CyberScore.live reported that Vici Gaming may return to the professional scene.
