Offlaner Ammar ATF Assaf has expressed his opinion on suddenly leaving Quest Esports. The player noted that he was not satisfied with the contract from Quest. Earlier, it was reported that Nigma Galaxy allegedly failed to negotiate an ATF loan with Quest Esports and weakened their rivals before The International 12 regional qualifiers.

Quest Esports released an official statement where they announced ATF's departure due to contract issues. ATF then decided to get a little more specific, saying that the contract offered by Quest was unacceptable to him and therefore he would not sign it. In response to this decision, Quest Esports decided not to continue ATF's loan and will be playing at the Riyadh Masters 2023 with Malik.

ATF was disappointed that Quest Esports chose to play at The Riyadh Masters 2023 with a stand-in rather than renew his loan, as he helped the team to qualify for the Play-In stage:

ATF stated that Nigma Galaxy helped with everything regarding loan and contract buyout, and his decision to leave was due to an unacceptable contract from Quest Esports:

Thus, Nigma Galaxy had no goal to weaken anyone at The International 12 qualification. ATF didn't like the contract, he was ready to continue playing as a loan player, but that didn't suit Quest Esports, who offered him a permanent contract.

At the Riyadh Masters 2023 Quest will play in Group B. The team's first match will be against OG on July 19.
