What is Piercing?

Piercing
Piercing is a mechanic in Dota 2 that allows ignoring part of the enemy's armor, reducing its defensive impact and thereby increasing the physical damage dealt. Piercing can be either percentage-based or fixed, depending on the source.
This effect allows heroes to effectively fight against enemies with high armor, making them less resistant to autoattacks and physical abilities. Piercing is especially important for carry heroes and physically oriented characters who need to deal maximum damage to even the most heavily armored targets.
