What is Invisibility?

Invisibility
Invisibility, or "invis," is a state where a hero becomes unseen by enemies without special detection tools. In Dota 2, invis can be a passive or active hero ability, an active effect from items, or invisibility runes.
It is important to remember that towers automatically reveal invisible heroes if they are within vision range, and invisibility does not protect against area-of-effect spells — such abilities deal damage and can kill a hero even if they are hidden in invis. Invis is often used for surprise attacks and to increase a hero's mobility.
