Weaver counterpicks: who to choose against this hero in Dota 2

Weaver is an agility ranged hero. He has high mobility and survivability, can go invisible, and deal significant damage in a short period. Thanks to his abilities, Shukuchi and Time Lapse, he can evade enemy attacks, move quickly across the map, and restore lost health. Most often, he takes on the roles of a carry or offlaner but occasionally appears in other positions.

Good picks against Weaver are heroes who:

• Have strong crowd control
• Deal high damage
• Can reveal invisibility
• Can close the distance quickly

Some of the best heroes against Weaver:

• Faceless Void – Weaver cannot use Shukuchi or Time Lapse while trapped in Chronosphere. Additionally, Chronosphere reveals invisibility. Time Walk helps catch up to him, and Time Lock provides additional damage and control.
• Zeus – Lightning Bolt, Nimbus, and Thundergod's Wrath reveal invisibility, which is a huge problem for Weaver. Moreover, his low health and low magic resistance make him an easy target for Zeus's spells.
• Lion – Provides strong crowd control with Earth Spike and Hex, preventing Weaver from using his abilities. Finger of Death deals massive damage, quickly neutralizing Weaver. Lion is usually played as a support, so he will carry detection items.

How to counter Weaver:

Early Game:

Weaver is vulnerable at early levels due to his low health pool. Purchase Sentry Wards to see him during Shukuchi. Also, get a Magic Stick to charge it from Shukuchi spam.

Note that Shukuchi has a relatively long cooldown, so use this time to launch a successful attack.

Mid Game:

Weaver becomes stronger once he acquires his first key items. Place wards to track his movements and prevent unexpected attacks.

During team fights, try to keep Weaver under control for as long as possible to prevent him from using his ultimate. 

Late Game:

In the late game, Weaver gains significant strength due to the level 25 talent that provides an additional attack from Geminate Attack. You still need to focus on controlling him in fights, as this will reduce his effectiveness and prevent him from dealing significant damage.

Also, keep in mind that Weaver may buy Aghanim’s Scepter, enabling Time Lapse to be used on allies. Pay attention to this and stay vigilant to neutralize all enemies in time.
