Play like a pro: the story and analysis of Satanic's playstyle

Alan Satanic Galyamov is a young first position player who quickly rose to Tier 1 and, at just 17 years old, earned the title of one of the best carries in the world. However, Satanic attracted attention even before entering the professional scene.

"This guy is gaining rank faster than I lose my rating. What's going on? He was ranked 800 when I first saw him about a year ago, and he carried us in a game. Back then, I thought he would be very good. Now, six months or a year later, he's already ranked 20th — it's just crazy," commented streamer Jean Gorgc Stafanovski on Satanic's game in July 2023.

Of course, such a promising player attracted the interest of more than just pub players and viewers. In February 2024, Galyamov took first place in the European ladder. By that time, he was already actively playing in qualifiers for major championships as part of Yellow Submarine, and in the fall of that year, Team Spirit manager Dmitry Korb3n Belov considered him a worthy replacement for Ilya Yatoro Mulyarchuk, who was taking a break. In January, Yatoro returned to the main roster of Spirit, while Satanic continued his career with PARIVISION.

For Alan's sake, PARIVISION said goodbye to Remko Crystallis Aretz, despite the team's victory at ESL One Bangkok 2024. Some fans even saw the replacement of Satanic with Yatoro in Spirit as a weakening of the team, which was later confirmed by PARIVISION's victory over Team Spirit in the grand final of ESL One Raleigh 2025. How did such a young and inexperienced esports player manage to quickly become a coveted carry for Tier 1 teams and compete with one of the most titled players for the title of best player in the first position?

Satanic compensates for his lack of experience with perfectly honed mechanical and micro skills. The player has a consistently high GPM and creep stats thanks to his ability to accurately calculate damage to last-hit creeps in the lane and under the tower, as well as maximizing his hero's abilities to quickly increase net worth and having farming patterns.

In addition, Alan always executes his timings and has an excellent understanding of when his power spike is coming. He is known for his aggressive and confident play. However, sometimes excessive diving and overconfidence lead to unnecessary deaths.

For example, Satanic played extremely aggressively in the match against Tundra Esports for third place at the Riyadh Masters 2025: seeing the enemy Axe in the bottom lane, Alan decided to attack him immediately, even though his entire team was in the top lane and he couldn't see the other enemies — for which he was quickly punished:

The young carry also sometimes gets caught on enemy wards, not always realizing when he might be attacked:

But it's also worth noting Satanic's early active play, which allows his team to quickly gain an advantage:

Satanic's teammate, Vladimir No[o]ne Minenko, said that he had to repeatedly calm the young hard carry down, while streamer Alexander Nix Levin pointed out his low level of understanding of macro gameplay at the competitive level. But both noted that Galyamov is a quick learner and is growing as a professional.

Another important advantage that Satanic has, without which he would hardly have made it to the pro scene, is his wide pool of heroes. The number of games Alan has played on first position heroes at such a young age is truly impressive. He will feel comfortable on any standard carry like Faceless Void or Juggernaut, “illusionists” like Naga Siren and Phantom Lancer, and continues to expand his arsenal, adapting to the meta. For example, he has started to master the currently popular Nature's Prophet and Doom.

Satanic's item builds further emphasize his playstyle. He always remembers that when taking most of the farm from the map, he must make an impact in team fights that matches his sky-high net worth. Here, we can note his similarity to Yatoro — the ability to find a balance between damage and survivability in his build. Alan avoids mistakes that are common among some other carries, such as buying too many save/sustain items or purchasing several relatively cheap items at once that are ineffective in the late game.

What is surprising about Satanic's play is that, despite his focus on farming, Alan is useful to the team at all stages. In the early game, he looks for opportunities to use his ultimate effectively, usually teleporting through the gate to the opposite lane to gank or destroy a tower. In the mid game, he tries to execute his timings and, of course, leads the team in the late game. It is his ability to farm incredibly fast and remain useful that sets Satanic apart as one of the best hard carries.
