History
Tundra Esports is a British eSports organization founded in October 2019. It launched its Dota 2 roster in January 2021, signing "mix" mudgolems, who was looking for a sponsor or organization before DreamLeague Season 14 DPC EU: Upper Division.
The lineup for the tournament was Skiter, Nine, 33, Biver and FATA- in the captain position. Its opponents in the group were OG, Team Liquid, Team Secret, Team Nigma, High Coast Esports, ViKin.gg and Alliance. At the end of 6 weeks of games, Tundra Esports finished with a score of 3-4, which meant re-matches for the ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 Wild Card stage. Our heroes' opponents were Team Liquid and OG. The first round of re-matches ended in a draw, but the winner was determined in the second round - it was the team led by iNSaNiA. As a result, Tundra Esports took 6th place at DreamLeague Season 14 DPC EU: Upper Division, which allowed them to stay in the first league in the next DPC cycle. In addition to the slot, Tundra Esports earned $24,000 in prize money. The next tournament for FATA- and company was EPIC League Season 3 Division 1, where the guys earned $10,000 for 4th place. In the second round of the 2021 ranking leagues, Tundra Esports took 5th place and again kept their place in the league, but failed to qualify for The International 2021. Tundra's significant achievement in 2021 was a sensational first place at the independent ESL One Fall 2021, after which the team was talked about as the #1 team in the region.
The new competitive season Tundra Esports met without FATA- and Biver - at different times they were replaced by Martin Saksa Sazdov and Jingjun Sneyking Wu respectively. The changes clearly benefited the team, as the new roster took 3rd place at DreamLeague Season 16 DPC WEU: Division I, then qualified for the ESL One Stockholm 2022 Major (where they also finished third), and in the last ranking round Tundra won the championship.
After qualifying for The International 2022 on DPC points, Tundra Esports finished first in their group and lost only one game in the entire playoffs. In the grand finals, they defeated Team Secret 3-0, becoming the second team to make the grand finals at The International.
During DPC 2023, Tundra's accomplishments included a 3rd place finish at Bali Major 2023 and a 4th place finish at DreamLeague Season 19.
In September 2023, ahead of The International 2023, Topias Topson Taavitsainen joined the team. He replaced Leon Nine Kirilin in the second position, while Nine himself moved to the fourth position.
At TI 12, Tundra qualified for the lower grid playoffs after the group stage, but crashed out of the tournament in the first round of the lower grid, losing to Entity. At the end of the tournament, the team finished 13-16th. After the failure at The International 2023, almost the entire active roster left the team. Skiter, 33, Nine and Sneyking left the roster. Only Topson remained among the active players.
In December 2023, the organization signed Team Undying roster: Enzo Timado Gianoli, Jonathan bryle- Santos de Guia, Ilyas kasane Gaynullin, Alexander Immersion Khmelevsky and Matthew Whitemon Filmon. This is how the team participated in ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where it took 8th place. The renewed roster started the season not very successfully. First, 10th place at Dreamleague Season 22 with the scandalous departure of MinD_ContRoL, who was replaced by Tobi, and then 8th place at Elite League 2024. But at ESL One Birmingham 2024 the team managed to enter the top 3.
The renewed team went to DreamLeague Season 23 and FISSURE Universe Ep.2, where they finished fifth and sixth respectively. A little later, Tundra received a direct invitation to the closed qualification for The International 2024: the team managed to take the second slot from the region. And at the Riyadh Masters 2024, the team managed to get into the main stage of the tournament based on the results of the EPT table. In September, TI13 started, where the team showed great results and even eliminated Team Falcons from the tournament.
