Julian Esnayder Flapjack Carbajal Ilave is a former professional player, coach, streamer, analyst and commentator. He was born in Spain and emigrated to Peru at the age of 18.
Flapjack began his pro gaming career in 2018 at Thunder Fury. Julian didn't earn his first prize money until May 2020, when he became a finalist in Epulze Global League Season 1: South America - Division 1 with L0w_Profile. In August of that year he moved to EgoBoys, under whose tag he took silver at Movistar Liga Pro Gaming Season 5. Then Julian didn't play in pro teams for about two years, and in November 2022 he joined Hokori for Claro Gaming Apu League Season 5, where he finished in the top 8. Then Flapjack, along with Lucky Bird (then called ALPHA), played at the TodayPay Invitational Season 3, where he finished in the top six, after which he stopped playing and decided to try his hand at coaching.
Flapjack made his first appearance as a coach for Infinity in July 2023. Under his leadership, the team participated in Phygital Games 2023 Season 2, where they took 7th-8th place. In the spring of 2024 Julian became the coach of Leviatán. With him, the team was able to win the Open Qualifiers and qualify for PGL Wallachia Season 1: South American Closed Qualifiers.
Since 2020, Flapjack has also been involved in coaster activities. Some of the first tournaments he commentated were The Great American Rivalry Division 1 Season 1, Realms Collide: The Burning Darkness, and BTS Pro Series Season 4: Americas. In 2021, Julian began covering dash-1 championships including WePlay AniMajor and The International 2021. From 2022 to 2024 he covered the DPC League, Riyadh Masters 2022, PGL Dota 2 Major Arlington 2022, The Lima Major 2023, ESL One Berlin Major 2023, The International 2022 and 2023, as well as several DreamLeague tournaments. In addition to official broadcasts, Julian streams on his twitch channel, where he has more than 13 thousand followers.
