Tundra Esports became the first finalists of BLAST SLAM IV

4 min.

In the playoff final of BLAST SLAM IV, Tundra Esports defeated MOUZ 2:1 and became the first team to reach the grand final. MOUZ ended their tournament run in 3rd–4th place.

Since there is no lower bracket in this event, the losing team is immediately eliminated. However, teams that finish in the top 4 will receive a direct invitation to BLAST SLAM VI.

Despite a confident victory by MOUZ on the first map, the second was completely dominated by Tundra Esports. The team’s carry, Ivan Pure Moskalenko, playing Ursa, delivered a flawless performance - he didn’t die a single time and recorded 13 kills and 20 assists.

On the third and decisive map, both teams played on equal footing for most of the game. However, after a successful fight by Tundra near the enemy high ground at the 33rd minute, their gold advantage instantly grew to 10,000, and just a few minutes later, they capitalized on it to close out the series. Despite the loss, MOUZ midlaner Zheng MidOne Yeik Nai, playing Queen of Pain, had a strong showing with only 2 deaths, 10 kills, and 9 assists.

It’s worth noting that over the past six months, the teams have faced each other three times, and every series ended in favor of Tundra Esports. During the group stage of the current tournament, Tundra showed consistent form with 9 wins and 2 losses, while MOUZ secured 7 victories out of 11 matches.
