Tidebound became the champions of DreamLeague Season 27 Division 2 Stage 2

Team Tidebound claimed victory at the DreamLeague Division 2 Season 22 tournament, showing consistent performance throughout the entire championship. In the grand final, the Chinese squad defeated eSpoiled 3:2 in a tense series to secure the championship title.

For their victory, the team earned $15,000 in prize money and a slot at DreamLeague Season 27, becoming the final participant of the tournament.

The first map went to eSpoiled - the teams were evenly matched until a clash at the 22-minute mark, after which the squad took full control and closed the game. On the second and third maps, Tidebound managed to recover and take the lead, but eSpoiled equalized the score on the fourth map, sending the series into a decisive fifth game.

The final map lasted nearly 60 minutes. Despite Tidebound’s dominance from the start, eSpoiled managed to destroy one barracks on the mid lane. At the 59-minute mark, the last fight broke out - the Chinese team killed the enemy carry Morphling twice and immediately ended the game by destroying the opponent’s Ancient.

It is worth highlighting the brilliant performance of Chinese midlaner Shu EchoZz Ziliang, who became the key factor in his team’s success in the last game. His hero was Broodmother, with which he began controlling the enemy jungle early in the game, preventing the opponent from gaining an advantage. He finished the match with a score of 12-1-13.

After the final, EchoZz shared his thoughts on the team’s preparation and spoke about the issues they faced in the grand final series:

We are currently on bootcamp in Serbia, and it really helps us improve. We constantly practice against European teams, play ranked matches, and can feel the progress.

On the first map, we were not ready for Naga Siren - we did not expect her to be that strong. According to statistics, eSpoiled had not used her before, so we did not pay attention. After that loss, we learned our lesson and either banned her or picked her ourselves.

On the fifth map, it was difficult for us to break the high ground, so we tried to force the opponent to fight outside their base, and it worked.
