Rumor: Major changes in Team Liquid roster and player roles are coming
According to insider Bauyrzhan lilskrip Bisembayev, Team Liquid’s carry Michaël MiCKe Vu might switch to the offlane position, which would result in Jonas SabeRLight- Volek leaving the team.
MiCKe could move to the three position in Team Liquid, meaning SabeRLight- would be out.
Recall that MiCKe has previously changed roles. Before joining Team Liquid, he switched to carry, having spent about four years as a mid player, but during that time he did not win any major tournaments.
Meanwhile, insider Vladislav BLACKARXANGEL Ivashchenko confirmed the rumors about Jonas SabeRLight- Volek leaving. According to him, the offlaner will join AVULUS, where he will play alongside Artem Lorenof Melnik in the mid lane from Virtus Pro, as they have built a new roster.
Also, former 1WIN Team coach Timur Ahilles Kulmukhambetov announced on his stream that Alimzhan watson Islambekov and Arman Malady Orazbayev will join Team Liquid, taking the carry and support roles respectively. This decision is likely related to the disbandment of Gaimin Gladiators: recently their mid player Quinn Quinn Callahan announced his retirement and rumors about the closure of the organization’s Dota 2 division are spreading.
There are also rumors that the team’s mid Michal Nisha Jankowski might either leave or take an indefinite break. If even some of these rumors are true, the roster will face several changes before the new season.
At the last major tournament, The International 2025, Team Liquid failed to reach the playoff stage. This may have been a decisive factor for global roster changes. The next tournament where the team is likely to compete with the updated roster is FISSURE Universe: Episode 7, starting in two weeks. By that time, the team will need to finalize its lineup.
