BLAST SLAM V: format, schedule, results, and tournament bracket

BLAST SLAM V was a Dota 2 championship held from 25.11.2025 to 07.12.2025. 12 teams competed for a prize pool of $1,000,000.

The tournament began with the group stage, held online from 25.11.2025 to 30.11.2025. Teams competed in a Round Robin format with Bo1 matches. The top two teams advanced directly to the playoff semifinals. Teams placed 3rd to 8th went to the play-ins, fighting for a spot in the main stage. The remaining teams entered the Last Chance Playoffs, where the decisive match determined a play-in slot.

The BLAST SLAM V playoffs took place from 05.12.2025 to 07.12.2025 at the Wuliangye Culture & Sports Center in Chengdu, China. The playoff bracket was single-elimination with Bo3 matches, except for the Bo5 grand final.

It’s worth noting that during the tournament, players could participate in the Fantasy League from Blast.tv. To do this, they had to create their fantasy team on the official website operator website in the Fantasy section. The roster for the group stage was locked on 25.11.2025 14:00. The playoff roster was locked on 05.12.2025 07:00.

The final day of the tournament came to an end, bringing us the matchup between Tundra Esports and Team Yandex for the championship title.

In the end, Tundra crushed their opponent 3:0 and became the champion of the BLAST tournament series for the fourth time, earning $400,000 in prize money. Yandex took second place, receiving $200,000 and an invitation to BLAST SLAM VI.

MOUZ, OG, and Tundra Esports finished the first day undefeated. Team Falcons won two matches but unexpectedly lost one map to Yakult Brothers. Natus Vincere also defeated two teams but failed to beat MOUZ. HEROIC, Tidebound, and Team Yandex lost all their matches.

 Day 2

The second day of the tournament has come to an end, and we can now see the leaders of the group stage.

Based on today’s results, Tundra Esports, Team Falcons, and MOUZ remain at the top. The worst performance so far belongs to Heroic - the team lost all of their matches, which is surprising considering their recent strong results at other events. Tearlaments and Xtreme Gaming hold just one win each, and today Xtreme sensationally lost to Execration in only 17 minutes.

 Day 3

The third day of the tournament has ended and some teams have firmly secured their positions in the standings.

By the end of the day, Team Falcons and Tundra Esports occupied the top two spots in the tournament table. Team Yandex is also showing strong form, winning five out of seven matches. Xtreme Gaming managed to win two games and keep their hopes for a high placement alive, while Tearlaments, with only one victory, continue fighting for a spot in the playoffs.

Two match days remain, after which the elimination matches will begin, and all participants of the playoff stage will be determined.

 Day 4

The penultimate day of the tournament has ended, and we sum up its results.

Following today’s matches, Tundra Esports and Team Falcons continue to hold the leading positions with eight wins and only one loss, securing their spots in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Execration, Yakult Brothers and Tearlaments risk falling into the Last Chance stage, where they will need to win two matches to stay in the tournament.

The remaining teams will move to the Play-In stage, where they will fight for a playoff slot. The loser of this series will be eliminated from the tournament.

The final day of the group stage has finished and here are the results.

Tundra Esports and Team Falcons secured direct slots in the playoffs with an impressive 10 wins out of 11. MOUZ, Team Yandex, OG, Tidebound, NaVi and Heroic showed average results and will now compete in the Play-in stage for the remaining playoff spots.

The weakest performers were Xtreme Gaming, Execration, Yakult Brothers, and Tearlaments. These teams will face each other: the losers will be eliminated, while the winners will need to take one more series to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Tomorrow, the matches of the second stage will take place, after which the tournament will go on a break until December 5.

The last day before the break has ended and now we know all the teams advancing to the playoff stage.

The day started with the Last Chance stage: Xtreme Gaming defeated Tearlaments 2:1, while Yakult Brothers comfortably beat Execration. Both teams moved on to the Play-In stage, which started immediately afterward.

After four series, OG, Natus Vincere, MOUZ and Team Yandex advanced to the playoffs. Meanwhile, Heroic, Tidebound, Yakult Brothers and Xtreme Gaming finished their run, taking 7th–10th places.

The tournament is now on a one-week break, giving players time to rest and prepare for the decisive matches, where losing means elimination.

The first day of the playoff stage has ended and here are the results.

Team Yandex managed to overcome OG, finishing the series with a score of 2:1 and advancing to the semifinals, where they will face Team Falcons in a tough matchup. In the second match of the day, MOUZ easily defeated Natus Vincere 2:0 and also moved forward.

The losing teams left the tournament, taking 5th–6th place and earning $50,000 each.

The penultimate day of the playoff stage has ended and the tournament is approaching its conclusion.

In the first match of the day, Team Yandex defeated Team Falcons 2:0, surprising many fans. This was Yandex’s first victory in their head-to-head matchup. The second match also didn’t last long: over two maps, Tundra Esports overcame MOUZ and advanced to the grand final.

Tomorrow we will see the tournament’s final match between Team Yandex and Tundra Esports for the championship title.
