About the tournament
Asian Dragon Series: Regional Collision is a tournament for teams from Southeast Asia. There are eight teams participating in this tournament. The participants will compete for the total prize pool of the tournament, which is 19200 dollars, as well as $300 dollars will be awarded to the MVP of the tournament and the best support and $200 dollars will be awarded to the team with the longest winning streak. The top six teams will receive a trip to the Asian Dragon Series: Continental Collision tournament.
Participants:
- 8 teams;
- 6 invited teams;
- 2 Open Qualifiers.
Group Stage - 08.11.2024 - 24.11.2024;
- All matches are Bo2;
- The top six teams advance to the Asian Dragon Series: Continental Collision tournament;
- The remaining teams are eliminated.
tiebreak rules:
- Two teams:
- By head-to-head - if two equal teams played each other in the group stage, the winner of their match will take the higher place;
- Bo1 Tiebreaker - if the teams played a series of two matches 1-1;
- Fastest Time to Win - if no points tie is decided (e.g. both teams have not played each other), then the team with the fastest time to win in the group stage gets the higher place;
- coin toss - if all other methods have failed, a draw will be held to determine the higher ranked team.
- Three teams:
- Head-to-head - the results of the meetings between the three teams are considered, if one team beats both other teams, that team will be ranked higher;
- Bo1 Round-Robin - A mini Round-Robin will be played between the three teams drawn;
- Fastest Winning Time - If the Round-Robin is still a tie, the team with the fastest overall winning time in the mini-Round-Robin will be ranked higher;
- Coin Toss - If the teams are still tied after taking into account the winning times, a coin will be used to determine place.
- Four teams or more;
- The same principles apply as for a three-team tiebreak, but with a mini-Round-Robin among the tied teams (In the case of four or more teams, the tie will be eliminated in stages by eliminating teams based on head-to-head results, win times, or additional Bo1 tiebreak matches until the final place in the standings is determined).
