Blizzard Brawl: New Year Decider is a new tournament where teams will compete for a prize pool of $30,000. Tournament type: online, venue - Southeast Asia.
Participants:
Group Stage - 19.01.2024 - 13.02.2024:
- single round-robin;
- all matches are Bo2;
- a 2-0 victory is awarded 3 points;
- a draw - 1 point;
- the top four teams advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs;
- 5th and 6th place teams advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs;
- the remaining teams are eliminated.
Tiebreaker rules:
In case of a tie for points in the group stage, teams are prioritized:
- By the number of wins with a score of 2:0.
In case of a tie after the series, one Best of 1 (bo1) game will be played. This cycle will be repeated until the points tie is resolved.
Playoffs:
- Double elimination bracket;
- Bo3 Grand Final, all other matches are Bo1.
