New Year Cup 2024

New Year Cup 2024 is a tournament for teams from Southeast Asia. This tournament features twelve invited teams that will compete against each other for a total prize pool of $30,000.

Participants:

• Twelve invited teams;
• Ten teams are seeded into group stage;
• Two teams are seeded into playoffs.

Group Stage - 19.01.2024 - 06.02.2024:

• Single round-robin;
• All matches are Bo2;
• Top four teams advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs;
• 5th to 8th place teams advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs;
• Remaining teams are eliminated.

Tiebreaker Rules:

In the event of a tie for points in the group stage, teams are prioritized according to:

1. results of the head-to-head match;
2. according to the results of games with each team.

in the event that a dispute cannot be resolved, the place in which affects the position in the playoff grid, the administration will decide when and in what form the secondary games will be played.

if the tie is partially resolved by any of the secondary metrics, the process will be repeated and the remaining teams will be ranked in the order listed. In the event that the above process cannot resolve a tie affecting a team's place in the playoff grid, the administration will decide when and how re-matches will be played.

Playoffs - 08.02.2024 - 14.02.2024:

• Double-elimination bracket;
• Grand Final is Bo5, all other matches are Bo3.
