BTS Pro Series Season 13: Americas is a championship event from the BTS Pro Series from tournament operator Beyond The Summit. This event is for 16 teams from the Americas. The prize pool amounted to $40,000.
Participants:
- 16 invited teams
- 8 teams in the first phase
- 4 teams in the second phase
- 4 teams in the third phase
Format:
The first phase (Play-in) - November 19th - November 23rd, 2022
- The system is double elimination (Upper and Lower Bracket);
- All matches in BO3 format (best of three);
- 4 teams qualify for the second phase.
The second phase (Group Stage) - November 25th - December 2nd, 2022
- Single round-robin system;
- All matches are BO2 (best of two);
- The best 4 teams qualify for the third phase;
- The remaining clubs are eliminated.
Tiebreaker:
- At the conclusion of the group stages, if two or more teams are tied for one of the playoff slots, the following metrics will be used to seed the teams:
- Head-to-head results between tied teams
- Neustadtl score (combined score of the teams you’ve beaten (2-0) plus half of the combined score of the teams you’ve drawn against (1-1))
- Comparative results against each team from the top down
- If a tie is partially broken with any of the secondary metrics, the process resets and the remaining teams are evaluated based on the list in order.
- In the case that the above process cannot break a tie that affects bracket placement, the administration will decide when and how tiebreaker games will be played.
The third phase (Play-offs) - December 4th - December 10th, 2022
- Double elimination system (Upper and Lower Bracket);
- Matches in BO3 (best of three) format;
- Grand Final - BO5 (best of five).
