History

EHOME is one of the most famous and respected Chinese cybersports organizations. The tag's founding year is 2004, and the first DotA roster was signed in 2007. EHOME is certainly a great team, as nostalgic oldfags remember, but its "golden era" almost entirely falls on the classic version of the game on the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne engine.

The management of the organization of those years knew how to surprise fans, gathering under one roof legendary players, the best at their positions. For example, at the Asian Championship Games in Singapore, a lineup that included LongDD, GK, Snoy, DC and 2009 won almost effortlessly. The top lineup that took the top prize at 10 consecutive tournaments in the second half of 2010 included KingJ, BurNIng, 820, 357 and Dai. During this period you could watch the epic confrontations between BurNIng and his "eternal opponent" LGD.ZSMJ, and at the ESWC 2010 tournament EHOME managed to beat all non-Chinese world-class teams, including Evil Geniuses, Natus Vincere, Team Zenith, and established the "Chinese hegemony" on the DotA scene.

With the advent of Dota 2, the situation has changed dramatically. The brightest moment for EHOME was the final of The International 2011: due to the fact that LighTofHeaveN from Natus Vincere was able to press the "bkb-check" in time, the team took the honorable 2nd place and earned $250 thousand. At the next The International 2012 the team could not repeat the former success and took only 5-6th place, losing to Invictus Gaming. In the future, the organization tried to maintain a balance between young and experienced players, which eventually resulted in 5-6 places at The International 2015 and The International 2016, but later this tactic stopped working, displacing the once top-1 team in the world to the level of a stable squad of dash-2 level.

In March 2023, it was revealed that Valve had suspended all EHOME players from competitive Dota, after which the organization withdrew from competitive Dota.
